I'm frustratingly sick, and have been for much of the Christmas week. At least I wasn't for graduation, so yeah. But at least I'm not too sick to post this (which I shamlessly stole from javandrakar):

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. Mine was better than expected. At the last minute I was invited to a series of short plays about death. Since I wasn't planning to go out I didn't have a costume. Scrambling to put some pieces together, and to keep with the death theme, I decided to go as Jack the Ripper. I had much more fun than I was expecting too. And I made a magic murder bag, so yea!

I'm sorry for posting this, but I had to let it out somewhere. Around five years ago, my grandmother was diagnoised with Alzhiemers (along with some other things.) No surprise, it's been hard on my family. She's yo-yo-ed as she's seen different doctors and they say different things. Semi-recently they decided maybe she didn't have Alzheimer's, but a breakdown that had been complicated by treatment as an Alzheimer's patient. She was doing better. Until this week.

They can't seem to keep her blood pressure down. She's developed some clots in her brain. I just got an email that they are moving her out of the assisted living home and into a hospice. That fact has brought up a lot of feelings. I have lost two grandparents already, but one was when I was pretty young, the other in middle school. I have lost some family more recently, most notably my aunt with MS, but I didn't feel like this. Not really since my since my senior year when a very dear friend of mine died in a car wreck.

I'm worried about my Dad. He hasn't lost either of his parents and they are very close. I just feel like there's nothing I can do to help anyone in the situation. I feel that there's nothing I can do put pray. So I'm doing that.

Sorry for dumping on a Monday morning.

I can't believe that Steve Irwin died. That makes me so sad. I was having a nice day too. It's finally raining here and it's about 70 degrees. And there's a L&O:SVU marathon all day. And then I found this:

Ok, so it has been of the suck recently, but things are coming to fruition. And for all of you that get to poke fun at me for falling asleep so readily, I have attained a new personal best this weekend. I was up at school all weekend and slept 3 hours out of 55. And yes, I should never do that again. It is not good. But I am in the process of recovery now.

Hmm....did you know that the McDonalds in CS actually serves both breakfast and lunch at 4:30 am? That's pretty crazy. Hopefully it will get me through the Vizagogo exhibition installation from 8 to 5 today. Because there's more school to be done after. And then sleep. A lot. I hope. Fuck school. I hate all nighters. At least we have a couch up in the lab now....

Can it be one of those weeks if it's only Monday?

Yesterday the C drive of my computer died. Which is frustrating at the beginning of the week when it can't be fixed/replaced until the weekend.

Today, my mom called to tell me that our family dog passed away. And I'm stuck up at school until 5:30 trying not to break down in tears. *see next point*

And it's genetically a bad week to start with.
